IMPORTANT NOTICE TO THE BAR AND PUBLIC
CONCERNING UPDATED INSTRUCTIONS FOR FILING
AN APPLICATION FOR PAYMENT OF UNCLAIMED FUNDS
Please be advised that, in accordance with the August 1, 2025 amendments to Local
Bankruptcy Rule 3011-1 relating to unclaimed funds, the Court has updated its instructions for
filing an application for payment of unclaimed funds (“Application”).
More specifically, D.N.J. LBR 3011-1 is amended to require the submission of Form AO
213P Request for Payee Information and TIN Certification when the Application is submitted. See
D.N.J. LBR 3011-1(b)(6).
For ease of reference, the updated Instructions are attached and may be found on the
Court’s website at the following link: Unclaimed Funds Arising from a Bankruptcy Case.
