DISTRICT OF NEW JERSEY
NOTICE TO THE BAR AND PUBLIC IMPLEMENTING
ONLINE FEE PAYMENTS PORTAL
Notice is hereby given to the bar and public that, effective January 27, 2025, the court will
implement the following online payment module:
Online Fee Payments Module – a payment portal for debtors and other parties who are not
registered efilers to pay filing fees to the court. The payment module includes the following notable
features:
- A debit card, PayPal, or electronic payment from a bank account (ACH) are all
- acceptable payment methods;
- Examples of the types of filing fees that can be paid in the portal include petitions,
- installment payments, amendments, motions, etc.
- Payments to a trustee must not be made in the portal;
- Efilers must continue to make payments through CM/ECF (the court’s electronic
- case filing system), not in the portal;
- Once the payment form (contained in the portal link) is completed, the party will
- be directed to pay.gov to finalize payment; and
- The party will receive an email confirming payment and the court will process a
- receipt to be entered on the docket.
A link to the Online Fee Payments module is available on the court’s website,
www.njb.uscourts.gov.
Until further notice, the court will continue to accept filing fees from debtors and other
parties who do not have an attorney or are not a registered efiler by corporate check, attorney check
(with “esquire” or “attorney at law” designation), certified check, or money order.
