CM/ECF Training Information

TO OBTAIN A LOGIN AND PASSWORD TO OUR COURT'S CM/ECF SYSTEM, WE MUST FIRST DETERMINE YOUR TRAINING NEEDS:


CM/ECF ONLINE
TRAINING MODULES

If you are a member of the New Jersey Bar, admitted to the United States District Court for the District of New Jersey and have no training or experience with CM/ECF, you must complete the required ONLINE TRAINING MODULES. Each module is approximately 10 minutes in length. Once you have completed the modules, you must register with PACER for an e:filing account with our court; click on the PACER link for more guidance. Our training staff will contact you with further instructions after you register. You must successfully complete an e:filing assignment in our training database in order to receive access to the CM/ECF Live database.

If you are a member of the New Jersey Bar, admitted to the United States District Court for the District of New Jersey and have received CM/ECF training in another district, you will need to provide the name of the district along with a copy of your transaction log from their system. You must register with PACER for an e:filing account with our court; click on the PACER link for more guidance.  Our training staff will contact you with further instructions after you register and will review the transaction log to be sure that your filings are consistent with our policies and procedures and will determine whether you must complete any required training.

**NOTE** Secretaries and paralegals are encouraged to view the modules if they will be performing the task of e:filing your documents using your login and password.

**IF YOU ARE NOT A MEMBER OF THE NEW JERSEY BAR you can still have limited access to CM/ECF. You must complete module 1 of the court's online training.
