UNITED STATES BANKRUPTCY
COURT DISTRICT OF NEW JERSEY

IMPORTANT NOTICE TO THE BAR AND PUBLIC
CONCERNING ACCESS TO CERTAIN DOCKET EVENTS IN CM/ECF

On May 1, 2020 and May 5, 2020, the Court entered Notices to the Bar1 advising of new docket events available in CM/ECF relating to filing procedures for certain forbearance agreements. These new procedures were implemented in response to the Coronavirus Aid, Relief, and Economic Security (CARES) Act.

This Notice serves to update the bar and public that the new docket events, Notice of Mortgage Forbearance and Notice of Automobile Forbearance, will be available solely to New Jersey attorneys who have access to file electronically in CM/ECF. Access to the events will not be available to limited users of CM/ECF. As previously explained, the events may be found in the Claim Actions category.

Both events are configured to file the Notice of Mortgage Forbearance or Notice of Automobile Forbearance on the main case docket, as well as the claims register if a Proof of Claim has been filed. If no Proof of Claim has been filed, the Notice of Mortgage Forbearance or Notice of Automobile Forbearance will be filed on the main case docket only.

Please refer to the court’s website, www.njb.uscourts.gov for additional information.
